Tour Description:

This amazing budget priced tour is operated by our sister company in Pittsburg, PA.  Join tour guide Val Schwarzmueller for a great ride through the Appalachians.

Be prepared to ride 300 to 350 miles per day for 3-4 days without a rest day. Mountainous roads and beautiful landscapes make this ride a favorite among many touring fans. The participants come from different countries and create an international atmosphere on the tour. Overnight stays are in comfortable mid-value hotels, many with a pool and Jacuzzi.

For those who can't spend Labor Day weekend on the road or don't have 15 days to spare we offer the shorter 11-day version of the tour. With this option, you will leave four days later. You'll still get airport pickup, a ride to the rental bikes and an escort (luggage handled) to meet the rest of the group in Cumberland, Maryland near Interstate 68. From here you will complete the tour with the participants of the long version. Riders on the 11-day version of the tour will not visit Niagara Falls, Canada and will not ride through New York State and Pennsylvania.

After picking up the rental Harleys in the morning the group leaves Pittsburgh and heads North toward the New York State border. 3,600 miles of endless road through the Appalachian Mountains lies ahead. The cool morning air of early September will feel good after the long summer heat. Perfect weather for touring with the Labor Day weekend upon us and 14 more days of great riding ahead. No other tour can offer this variety of roads, scenery and vistas. Breathtaking views alternate with the tranquility of twisty forest roads and the ever-present rumble of the big twin engines - sweet music to the ear. Highlights of this tour are Niagara Falls, Canada, Washington DC, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive and Nashville Tennessee. Topped off with a visit to Coal Country and America's the tallest steel-span bridge, the famous New River Gorge Bridge.
