This tour is designed personally by
Lynn Matthews, co-owner of Turkey Creek Tours for the woman who wants a
great ride and who wants to be treated like a Diva.
After a beautiful and exciting day of riding the Colorado Rocky Mountains,
we will enjoy the best accommodation and local cuisine Colorado has to
offer. We've carefully selected unique hotels, and B&B's and
selected restaurants for the tastiest cuisine available.
At the end of the day we will enjoy a soak in the soothing waters of
Colorado's famous hot springs and spas and have ample opportunity
throughout the trip for hiking, fishing, white water rafting, shopping
or whatever your heart desires.
These five days take you through some of the wildest most magnificent
landscape in the Western Hemisphere. Ride over a dozen mountain
passes including the most scenic in Colorado. Enjoy
hiking, shopping, and visiting with the locals. You'll ride the
colorful rim rock plateau of the Colorado National Monument. You'll
stop in Ridgway located in the same area where the western
movie 'True Grit' starring John Wayne was filmed. ("Bold talk for a one-eyed fat man.") Don't be surprised
when we come around a curve and see colorful hot air balloons soaring
above. Ride through Aspen for a chance to spot some of Hollywood's glitterati.
You will ride along rivers of white water, see incredible mountain
views, amazing relics of Colorado's mining history, and travel through
national forests and canyons cut into arid desert terrain. The ride
offers many hidden out of the way places, roads from a mere mile high (1.6
kilometers) to over 12,000 feet (3657 meters), and showcases the varied
and unforgettable beauty of Colorado.
Expect to be pampered and let yourself ride like the wind.
